OTTAWA: Six persons, including two adults and four children, have been found dead at a residence in the suburbs of the Canadian capital Ottawa. Police said on Thursday that one suspect has been arrested in connection with the incident.

Police confirmed the incident, revealing that two adults and four children were found deceased in a house in the Barrhaven area.

Details surrounding the incident remain scarce as authorities continue what they described as a “tragic and complex investigation.” The police responded to emergency calls shortly before 11 pm on Wednesday, and upon arriving at the scene, they encountered the distressing scene within the residence.

A suspect was swiftly apprehended at the site, providing some relief to the community as authorities assured that there was no ongoing threat to public safety. However, the circumstances leading to the tragic deaths remain unclear.
