KING CITY: At least four people were killed and several others were injured in a mass shooting at a party at a residence in King City, California, authorities reported on Sunday.
The incident unfolded on Sunday evening at a residential building following a party, where three men were found with gunshot wounds and pronounced dead at the scene. Additionally, a female was transported to a local hospital, where she was later pronounced dead.
The King City Police Department stated that three other male victims with gunshot wounds were taken to a hospital in Salinas for medical treatment.
According to authorities, the shooting occurred when three unidentified men exited a vehicle and opened fire on people in the front yard of the house. The motive behind the attack remains under investigation, and authorities are working to identify and apprehend the perpetrators.

The incident adds to the list of at least 68 mass shootings in the country so far this year, according to the Gun Violence Archive. The archive defines a mass shooting as one in which at least four people are shot, excluding the shooter.
Police are still looking for the three suspects who were wearing dark-colored clothing and masks.
