ISLAMABAD: Ambassador of France Nicolas Galey called on Pakistan’s Minister for Defence Khawaja Muhammad Asif and appreciated Pakistan’s role in regional stability on Monday.
In the meeting, Khwaja Asif said that Pakistan attached great importance to its bilateral ties with France, according to a statement released by the Defence Ministry.
He stressed enhanced collaboration between the Armed Forces of the two nations.
The minister said that bilateral relations between Pakistan and France were based on principles of mutual respect.
Pakistan Committed to Peace in Region
He added that Pakistan was committed to stability and peace in the region.
Khwaja Asif reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to address global challenges of terrorism and extremism.
The ambassador ensured to play his role for further improvement in diplomatic cooperation with Pakistan at all levels.
