ISLAMABAD: Pakistan’s Special Representative to the Prime Minister (SAPM) on Religious Harmony, Hafiz Muhammad Tahir Mehmood Ashrafi on Wednesday said that Gaza was an issue of entire humanity.

Addressing a conference on Palestine organized by Human Rights Council of Pakistan at Allama Iqbal Open University, he said more than 3,500 children, who have done nothing, had been murdered in Israeli aggression since October 7.

Ashrafi who is also Chairman of Pakistan Ulema Council said Israeli atrocities had taken the lives of more than 11,000 people in Palestine and Gaza.

He added that Israel was pursuing a sinister design of expansion by forcefully evacuating Palestinian people from the Gaza Strip.

He called upon the people to condemn against this brutal act of Israel with all possible resources being within the constitutional domain.

Ashrafi strongly believed that we must expose the real face of those who used to highlight the rights of animals, but silent on the massacre of innocent children.

He said those who used to show pain for the rights of women in Pakistan, were saying nothing on the sad demise of a Palestinian girl who was laid to rest without a coffin.

Ashrafi questions western double standards

He questioned the double standards of the international human rights organizations treating the Zionist-Jews as the only human beings while considering Palestinians as inhuman species.

Ashrafi warned the anti-Muslim forces had formulated a greater plan to create a division among the Muslim Ummah.

He said the whole Muslim Ummah was united on the issue of Palestine. He said Palestine should be an independent and a sovereign state with its capital Al-Quds.

He went on to say Al-Aqsa belonged to Muslims and remained so.

Ashrafi said nefarious designs of Israelis to displace the innocent people of Palestine would be countered accordingly and nobody could force them to leave their territories.

Chairman of Pakistan Ulema Council said Pakistan had a clear stance on Palestine under the guidelines of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and the entire nation was standing by Palestinian people.

He said Palestine and Kashmir were not issues of one country but the entire Muslim Ummah.

Ashrafi, welcomed the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) conference slated to be held on November 11 to 12. He underlined Pakistan’s unwavering support with the decisions made in these international forums. He added Pakistan’s leadership would actively participate in the OIC conference.
