LAHORE: The ongoing brutality inflicted by Israeli forces in Gaza has had a profound impact on Pakistani actor Ushna Shah, leading her to come closer to Islam.
In an interview, the Parizaad actor shared her reflections on the Gaza situation, revealing that the stark images of Israeli barbarism prompted several non-Muslims to convert to Islam.
Ushna Shah acknowledged that, despite being born into a Muslim family, she and others may not have been following Islam in its true essence. However, witnessing the distressing events in Gaza compelled her and many others to draw closer to their faith.
“The situation in the Gaza Strip forced us to go closer to the religion,” Ushna Shah stated during the interview. She highlighted that a significant number of non-Muslims turned to Islam after witnessing the Israeli atrocities in Palestine.

Expressing her personal journey, the actor disclosed that she made the decision to perform Umrah in response to the Gaza crisis. Additionally, Ushna Shah shared her commitment to studying the Holy Quran with an English translation, underscoring her newfound dedication to understanding the teachings of Islam.
Furthermore, Ushna Shah emphasized her advocacy for the Palestinian cause, expressing her support without fear of potential consequences from multinational companies. She mentioned her willingness to speak up for justice, even if it meant foregoing certain projects.
