DUBAI: Renowned US Dutch Palestinian supermodel Gigi Hadid took to Instagram to share glimpses of her recent trip to Paris, showcasing behind-the-scenes moments from the jury meeting of the prestigious ANDAM Fashion Award.
Hadid, who served as a jury member, documented her experience as designer Louis Gabriel Nouchi emerged as the winner of the coveted award on Thursday, surpassing five other finalists to claim a prize of $327,645 and a one-year mentorship from Chloé CEO Riccardo Bellini.
Established in 1989, the ANDAM Fashion Award is highly regarded as a standard for designers, fashion professionals, and members of the international press, offering a platform for young designers to flourish, as stated on the award’s website.
Paris-based designer Nouchi graciously accepted the accolade during an elaborate ceremony held at the gardens of Palais-Royal in the French capital. He now joins an esteemed list of past recipients, including Viktor & Rolf, Christophe Lemaire, Jeremy Scott, Bianca Saunders, and Marine Serre.
Founding his label in 2017, Nouchi aims to challenge conventional notions of masculine style through genderless collections inspired by literature and film references.
Gigi Hadid’s Busy Schedule in France
Gigi Hadid attended the event donning an eye-catching black ensemble from Chloé, styled by Mimi Cuttrell. Cuttrell, who also styled Hadid for the 2023 Met Gala in May, showcased a sheer Givenchy couture look on the supermodel.
In addition to her involvement with the ANDAM Fashion Award, Hadid had a busy schedule in France, gracing the runway for the French luxury brand Jacquemus last week. The label hosted its Spring/Summer 2024 “LE CHOUCHOU” collection runway presentation at the canals of Château de Versailles, where Hadid, alongside Loli Bahia and Mona Tougaard, showcased the line.
Hadid mesmerized the audience with a lingerie-style outfit, while French Algerian model Bahia sported an oversized jacket in a delicate cream shade. Celebrity guests, including actress-director Eva Longoria, David and Victoria Beckham, and Italian actress Monica Bellucci, watched the show from charming white boats lined up along the runway.
The new collection featured translucent lingerie, backless shirts, laced vests, and a variety of square-toed footwear such as ballet pumps and loafers.
“A lil-bit of a-lot that got done in Paris this week,” captioned Hadid as she shared a carousel of photos, offering a glimpse into key moments from her time in Paris. The model’s snapshots included shots from the runway show and moments captured in her hotel room.
