GIK, Education Ministry Sign Mou To Establish New Training Center

ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Federal Education, Ghulam Ishaq Khan Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology, and the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission have joined hands to inaugurate a new training center in Islamabad.

The tripartite memorandum of partnership, signed by key officials, aims to create a collaborative platform for research, learning, and professional development.

At the signing ceremony, attended by esteemed dignitaries and officials, including the Federal Secretary of Education and the Executive Director of the National Vocational and Technical Training Commission, the participants highlighted the significance of the new training center. They emphasized its role in fostering innovation, enhancing educational standards, and addressing the demands of the 21st century.

The Federal Secretary of Education, M. Muhyiddin Wani, underscored the importance of the initiative within the framework of the Prime Minister’s Educational Measures, 2024, aimed at enhancing employment opportunities for educated youth. Salim Saifullah Khan, President of the Society for the Promotion of Engineering Sciences and Technology in Pakistan, lauded the GIK Institute’s legacy of promoting engineering sciences and its commitment to quality education.

Shakeel Durrani, Executive Director of the Society for the Promotion of Engineering Sciences and Technology in Pakistan and Chairman of WAPDA, highlighted the center’s role in providing training aligned with the latest industry standards, thus enhancing employment prospects for graduates. Prof. Dr. Fazal Khalid, Rector of the GIK Institute, emphasized the partnership’s significance in fostering a culture of learning and excellence.
