Gold Price Decline by Rs200 per Tola

ISLAMABAD: Gold prices in Pakistan have seen a slight decline, with the per tola price of 24 karats decreasing by Rs200.

On Tuesday, it was available in the local market at Rs.220,500, compared to its sale price of Rs.220,700 on Monday.

The downward trend in gold prices has persisted, with a decrease of Rs.1000 observed in the previous day’s price.

According to the All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association, the price of 10 grams of 24 karats gold also dropped by Rs.171 to Rs.189,043 from Rs.189,214, while the price of 10 grams of 22 karats gold decreased to Rs.173,290 from Rs.173,447.

In the international market, the price of gold remained unchanged, settling at $1951.

Gold prices in the local market have been volatile in recent months. From March to May, there was a rapid increase in the price of gold, reaching a historic high of Rs.240,000 per tola in the first quarter of May. However, in the last two weeks of the current month, the price has declined by about Rs.14,000.

Additionally, the price per tola and 10 grams of silver also decreased by Rs.50 and Rs.42, settling at Rs.2,600 and Rs.2,229.08, respectively.
