Gold Price in International Market

The association reported that the price of gold in the international market went down by US$ 13 to $1959 against $1972 the previous day. The slight downfall of the prices in the international market was attributed to the stronger position of the greenback.

On the contrary, the increase in prices in the local market for the last couple of months was due to several reasons, including high inflation, devaluation of the Pakistani rupee, uncertain status with the IMF, and other financial and political aspects.
