Gold Price Up by Rs2,000 to Settle Rs 214,800 Per Tola

ISLAMABAD: After an increase of Rs1000 last day, the per tola price of 24 karats of gold went up further by Rs.2,000 on Wednesday and was sold at Rs 214,800 as compared to its sale at Rs 212,800 on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, according to All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association, the rates for the 10 grams of 24 karats of the precious metal also increased by Rs 1,714 to close at Rs 184,156 from its last day sale of Rs 182,442 while the prices of 10 grams of 22 karats of the yellow plate increased to Rs 168,810 from its previous rates of Rs 167,238.

However, like the previous day, the rates for the per tola and ten grams of the white plate (Silver) remained constant at Rs 2,580 and 2,211.93, respectively.

Gold Price in International Market

Like the local bullion market, the price of the yellow plate in the international market also witnessed an increase and went up by $23 per ounce to settle at $1988 from its previous day’s price of $1,965 per ounce.

The price of the yellow plate in the local market is mostly affected by the rates in the international market as well as due to the depreciation of the local currency against the American dollar.
