ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister for Finance Ishaq Dar while presenting the Rs14.460 trillion budget for the fiscal year 2023, announced 30 to 35 per cent increase in salaries of government employees.
Explaining the budget in the national assembly on Friday, Dar said that the government has decided to give 35 per cent increase in salaries of government employees from Grade 1 to Grade-16 and 30 per cent increase for Garde-17 and above. The increase would be an ad-hoc relief for public servants.

The finance minister also announced the minimum pension will be increased from Rs10,000 to Rs12,000 while the minimum wage will be increased from the current Rs25,000 to Rs32,000 in ICT.
