Govt Reduces Petrol Price by Rs5.45

ISLAMABAD: The government has slashed the fuel prices by up to 8.42 rupees per litre for the next fortnight, local media reported.

The petrol price has been reduced by 5.45 rupees per litre, while diesel price slashed by 8.42 rupees per litre. The new prices of the petroleum products have been implemented from May 1.

Earlier, the Ogra had forwarded the oil price summary to the Ministry of Petroleum, which was passed by the prime minister.

Notably, international crude oil prices have been fluctuating over the last 15 days, with today’s Brent oil market price at 88.50 dollars per barrel.

This price adjustment follows a raise on April 16, where price of petrol raised by 4.53 rupees per litre and high-speed diesel rose by 8.14 rupees per litre.
