PARIS: Hannah Green remains cautious about her chances of returning to the Olympics in Paris later this year, despite securing her second LPGA tournament win of the season over the weekend. Her recent victory at the LA Championship in California propelled her to become Australia’s top-ranked women’s golfer, now standing at world number eight.

With wins at both the LA Championship and the HSBC Women’s World Championship in Singapore, Green is strongly positioned to partner with world number nine Minji Lee for Australia.

However, she acknowledges the uncertainty, stating, “It’s definitely been on my mind,” regarding the upcoming tournament at Le Golf National in Guyancourt from Aug. 7-10. Despite her recent successes, Green remains grounded, emphasizing, “Whatever I do between now and then, I’m just going to try and play my best golf and hope to make that team.” Her fifth-place finish at the Tokyo Olympics three years ago serves as a reminder of the unpredictable nature of the sport.
