WASHINGTON: OpenAI co-founder and President Greg Brockman on Friday announced his decision to quit the maker of artificial intelligence tools, soon after the board of the company sacked Chief Executive Officer Sam Altman.
He made the announcement in a post on social media platform X, formerly twitter.
Brockman said he has been through tough and great times with Sam Altman and accomplishing so much despite all the causes it should have been impossible. He said that he also left the company following dismissal of the CEO.

Earlier OpenAI, the firm behind the ChatGPT, sacked its Chief Executive Office and founder, Sam Altman. His abrupt exit sent shockwaves across the Artificial Intelligence industry.
Brockman in the post wishing best for his colleagues said he believed in the mission of creating safe (artificial general intelligence) that benefits all of humanity.
OpenAI said that Mira Murati, the firm’s chief technology officer, will serve as interim Chief Executive Officer until a permanent CEO is picked.
ChatGPT was launched late last year, making Sam Altman an overnight celebrity and the face of a new AI tools that can produce texts and images in reply to simple user prompts.
