Hot, Dry Weather Likely in Most Parts of Pakistan

ISLAMABAD:  Mainly hot and dry weather is likely in most areas of Pakistan during the next twelve hours, Pakistan Meterological Department (PMD) said on Tuesday.

However, it added that partly cloudy weather conditions with light rain-thunderstorm may take place at isolated areas in Gilgit-Baltistan (GB). Day temperatures are expected to increase gradually in plain regions of the country.

Temperature of major cities recorded Tuesday’s morning:

Islamabad: 17 °C

Lahore: 26 °C

Karachi:  27 °C

Peshawar: 20 °C

Quetta: 15 °C

Gilgit: 16 °C

Muzaffarabad: 18 °C

According to weather forecast for Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK), partly cloudy weather is likely in Srinagar, Pulwama, Leh, and Baramula and dry weather in Shopian and Anantnag while hot and dry weather is expected in Jammu.

Temperature recorded on Tuesday’s morning:

Srinagar: 14 °C

Jammu: 24 °C

Leh: 5 °C

Pulwama: 12 °C

Baramula: 12 °C

Anantnag: 13 °C

Shopian:  13 °C
