Houthis Fire Drones, Missiles in Red Sea: CENTCOM

WASHINGTON: The US military has said Houthi fired three antiship ballistic missiles and directed three drones to strike a Greece-owned ship travelling in the Red Sea.

In a statement, CENTCOM said that the ship was able to continue its journey and there were no reports of injuries resulting from the attack.

Houthis said that their campaign in the Red Sea targets shipping either owned by or has connection to Israel and Israeli ports, and is in retaliation for Israel’s war on the Gaza Strip.

Earlier, CENTCOM said that Houthi fighters fired three anti-ship ballistic missiles at two ships in the Red Sea, one of which sustained little damages. CENTCOM stated that there were no reports of casualties from attacks on the UK-owned vessel.

Meanwhile, Israeli air and drone attacks have killed 34 people in the Nuseirat refugee camp and Gaza during last several hours.

Gaza Health Ministry said in a statement that over 34,488 Palestinians including children and women have been killed in Israeli brutal strikes in the Gaza Strip since October 7. It said that more than 77,643 injured including children and women in Israeli strikes on Gaza.
