BAGHDAD: Huda Kattan, the 40-year-old Iraqi-American founder of makeup brand Huda Beauty, is steadfast in her commitment to supporting Palestine, even in the face of threats that risk her entire business empire. Kattan, who has been vocal against Israel’s brutal actions in Gaza, recently took to TikTok to emphasize her dedication to seeking truth and justice, despite facing intimidation.

In a video, Kattan declared, “I will not be intimidated” and insisted that she has done “nothing wrong” by speaking out against Israel’s invasion of the Gaza Strip. The beauty mogul, with a cosmetics business valued at $1.2 billion and 54 million Instagram followers, expressed her readiness to risk her entire business for the sake of truth and justice.

“We cannot be afraid to lose anything; we have to trust the process. If we lose something, something else will come to us the right way because we are doing good work — I believe that wholeheartedly,” Kattan stated in the video.

Huda Kattan Remains Undeterred in Sharing Opinions Online

Despite potential repercussions, Kattan remains undeterred in sharing her opinions online. She vehemently denied being antisemitic and emphasized her focus on the suffering of innocent Palestinian people. Kattan accused the Israeli government of using religion and people as human shields, projecting falsehoods onto the Palestinian people.

This is not the first time Kattan has faced threats for her pro-Palestine stance. In October, an Israeli fan accused her of favoring Gaza over Israeli customers, to which Kattan responded, “I do not want blood money.” The incident led to a petition urging Sephora to remove Huda Beauty from its US stores.
