ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Food Authority (IFA) has unveiled a detailed and comprehensive plan aimed at ensuring the cleanliness and safety of food establishments across the federal capital.

Talking to the Associated Press of Pakistan on Tuesday, Deputy Director of Operations Islamabad Food Authority (IFA) Dr Tahira Siddique stated that as per the plan, special teams would be there to monitor and conduct rigorous checks at all the relevant food points in the capital during Sehri and Iftaar.

To make the plan impactful, and to maintain high standards throughout Ramazan, the plan would also cover regular checks and monitoring of small hotels including dhabas and markets to ensure the provision of clean and healthy food for the masses.

DD Operations further said that under the directions of the Deputy Commissioner Islamabad, the current Ramazan plan’s key purpose would be ensuring strict hygiene protocols, and safeguarding the health of residents and visitors.

Dr Tahira warned about strict action against all those who compromise the health of the citizens and stated that strict action would be taken against violators and those being involved in making unhygienic or sub-standard food.
