Communication facilities in tribal areas
ISLAMABAD: Minister for Communications and Postal Services Maulana Asad Mahmood on Thursday said that the government attached top priority to improve the road infrastructures of the tribal districts.
A delegation under the leadership of Federal Minister Mufti Abdul Shakoor called on him here in Islamabad. The issues related to communication facilities in tribal areas were discussed in the meeting.
Work on Peshawar Landi Kotal Bypass
The Minister for Communication said the government is committed to improving communication facilities across the country, especially in the tribal areas. He said that work on Peshawar Landi Kotal Bypass would be started after consultation with the people.
He added that the government wanted to develop the tribal districts and it was doing its utmost efforts for the welfare of the people in the region.
The delegation thanked the minister and expressed hope that communication facilities would be improved soon in their areas.
