ISLAMABAD: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan asserted on Thursday that even if he faces jail or disqualification, his party will sweep the upcoming general election, as the love for PTI remains unwavering in the hearts of the people.

Addressing the nation through a video link, Imran Khan stated that while people may be temporarily silenced through fear and intimidation, the nation’s anger and regret against the current rulers will manifest in the elections, ensuring PTI’s success.

The former prime minister claimed that PTI is benefiting from the tactics employed by his opponents to suppress him and his party. He highlighted that supporting PTI has become akin to a crime in the country, with even the reputable Shaukat Khanum Hospital not being spared from criticism.

Imran Khan reiterated his stand against the establishment and the ruling elites, asserting that he stands alone based on faith. He emphasized that attempts to tarnish his reputation only expose the truth and backfire on his opponents.

Imran Khan Shuns Corruption Allegations

Referring to the National Accountability Bureau (NAB) inquiry regarding funds from the UK to the Supreme Court’s account, Imran Khan pointed out that the inquiry was closed after finding no evidence of wrongdoing. He highlighted the ongoing Toshakhana case and maintained that he had the right to distribute gifts received during his tenure.

Regarding his time as prime minister, Imran Khan recalled keeping the cipher from America in a National Security Council meeting, asserting the need for sovereignty and non-interference in national affairs.

The former prime minister expressed concern about the rising prices of essential commodities since the overthrow of his government, holding the current rulers responsible for the economic challenges.

Imran Khan praised those who remain steadfast despite facing hardships and expressed happiness over the release of Ali Muhammad Khan and Shehryar Afridi on bail. He also questioned the absence of human rights organizations in response to alleged mistreatment of women affiliated with PTI.
