ISLAMABAD: The President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, Barrister Sultan Mehmood Chaudhry, has asserted that India is not only involved in terrorist activities within the Indian illegally-occupied Jammu and Kashmir but also in other countries.

During a meeting with a delegation of British Members of Parliament in Islamabad, including Andrew Gwynne, Chairman of Labor Friends of Kashmir UK, Naz Shah, and Sam Terry, Barrister Sultan referred to the killing of Sikh leader Hardeep Singh Nijjar in Canada by agents of the Indian spy agency RAW. He stated that this incident provides clear evidence that India employs terrorism as a tool to achieve its objectives, labelling it a terrorist state.

The AJK President emphasized the urgent need for the UK to take a firm stance against the systematic human rights violations perpetrated by Indian forces in occupied Jammu and Kashmir. He called for countering India’s negative propaganda against the legitimate struggle of Kashmiris.

Barrister Sultan also highlighted the Modi government’s habit of spreading false information to fuel anti-Muslim sentiments in India for electoral gains.

In a significant development, it was decided during the meeting that a resolution on Kashmir would be passed at the upcoming UK Labor Party conference on October 8.
