SRINAGAR: Political analysts and observers from Srinagar have criticized the Narendra Modi-led Indian government for transforming Indian Illegal Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) into the world’s largest open-air prison, where fundamental rights are systematically violated.

According to Kashmir Media Service reports, the presence of over a million Indian troops in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu Kashmir (IIOJK) has resulted in a dire situation for Kashmiri residents. These experts and observers highlighted the suppression of basic rights, including the right to life, due to the heavy military presence.

They lamented the daily instances of killings, torture, and arbitrary arrests carried out by Indian forces in IIOJK, noting numerous massacres intended to instill fear among the Kashmiri populace.

Over the past seven decades, Kashmiris have endured state terrorism, with 96,290 reported deaths due to Indian actions between January 1989 and February 2024, stated by political experts and observers.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) government’s policies in IIOJK were condemned as excessively brutal, with actions described as unprecedented in recent history. The international community’s intervention was urged to address the plight of the oppressed Kashmiri people.
