Indian Hindu Yatrees Arrive in Pakistan for Maha Shivratri Festivities

LAHORE: A delegation of Indian Hindu Yatrees arrived in Pakistan via Wagah Border on Wednesday to participate in celebrations of the Hindu festival of Maha Shivratri.

Rana Shahid Saleem, Additional Secretary of Shrines, and Pakistani Hindu leaders warmly welcomed the visiting delegation.

On this occasion, Rana Shahid Saleem said that after their stay in Lahore today, the Yatrees will leave for Katas Raj temple in Chakwal district tomorrow (Thursday) to participate in the main event of Maha Shivratri on Saturday.

Hindu Hails Pakistan Government

The Hindu leader Vishu Bajaj stated Shri Katas Raj is very sacred to the Hindu community.

He extended gratitude to the Pakistan government for foolproof arrangements for the festival.

The Hindu Yatrees will visit Krishna Temple in Lahore to perform their religious rituals before returning to India on Tuesday.
