ISLAMABAD: The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony advised all the intending Hajj pilgrims to get vaccinated at least five days before their departure for Saudi Arabia to perform the religious obligation for the purpose of avoiding any inconvenience.

The ministry stated this via the official Facebook page on Saturday “The intending pilgrims are advised to visit their respective Hajji camps five days (from 9 am to 5 pm) before their flight to receive vaccination against meningitis, seasonal influenza and polio, besides obtaining a yellow card,”.

The ministry further stated that the intending pilgrims should take the move as a mandatory requirement.

Other Requirements for Pilgrims

The statement further stated that each pilgrim would receive a package containing a large travel bag, a small hand-carry bag, a shoe bag, an Ihram belt for men and a scarf for women.

It is worth noting here that from May 24 onward, national and international 11 flights would take the intending pilgrims from various destinations across the country including Islamabad, Karachi, Lahore, Peshawar, Multan and Sialkot Airports.
