Iran Abolishes Visa Requirements for 33 Nations: Arab Media

TEHRAN: Officials in Iran are removing visa requirements for passport holders from around 33 nations, Arab media reported on Thursday.

Earlier, Iran’s Minister of Tourism Ezzatollah Zarghami said that the government of Iran intends to open his country’s doors to the world.

The Minister said that Iran has shown its readiness to open doors to people across the world and provide more and more facilities for the visitors so that they can easily visit their country.

According to Arab News, the decision means that nationals of several countries will now be able to visit the country without needing to acquire a visa.

The Ministry of Tourism stated it “believes that an open-door policy will also showcase Tehran’s determination to engage with different nations of the world.

The countries included in the decision are UAE. Qatar and Bahrain, Arab News reported. It added that nationals of Oman were already able to visit to Iran without applying for a visa process. The ISNA news agency published a complete list of the countries, which also includes Tunisia and Lebanon. As per Arab News, Croatia is the only European nation on the list.
