TEHRAN: Senior commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Brigadier General Amir Ali Hajizadeh, revealed that Iran had only utilized a fraction of its military capabilities during last month’s retaliatory airstrikes against Israel.

In an interview on Wednesday, Hajizadeh said that despite assistance from the United States, Britain, and France in support of Israel, Iran had only deployed around 20% of what it had prepared to take action against the Israeli regime.

He said that despite this limited response, Israel and its allies mobilized all available military assets to counter Iran’s actions, with the US providing support despite earlier claims of non-intervention.

Hajizadeh attributed the success of the operation to the unwavering determination of Iranian forces and the wise guidance of Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei, the Leader of the Islamic Revolution.

The operation, dubbed Operation True Promise, was launched following Israeli airstrikes on Iran’s embassy compound in Damascus, which resulted in casualties among IRGC generals and officers, including Brigadier General Mohammad Reza Zahedi and General Mohammad Hadi Haji Rahimi, along with five accompanying officers.

The IRGC general also highlighted that there were many undisclosed aspects of the operation, which only revealed a fraction of Iran’s military capabilities. Despite this, Hajizadeh stressed that the operation showcased Iran’s ability to stand against powerful adversaries.

The Israeli regime’s aggression on Iranian diplomatic facilities in Syria drew condemnation from the international community, further escalating tensions in the region.
