ISLAMABAD: Islamabad woke to a transformed city on Sunday, March 3rd, following a dramatic shift in weather conditions. The past 24 hours saw a significant drop in temperature, accompanied by a cold rain and an unexpected hailstorm.

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) had previously predicted rain, wind, and even isolated hailstorms for Islamabad and surrounding areas. This forecast proved accurate as the capital experienced a period of downpour punctuated by bursts of hail. While the exact duration and intensity of the storm are not yet documented, its impact was undeniable.

The sudden drop in temperature has brought a wave of chill to the city. Residents accustomed to comfortable winter weather are now adjusting to a colder environment. This shift has necessitated a change in attire, with many reaching for warmer clothes previously put away for the season.

The hailstorm itself may have caused minor disruptions, but its impact is likely temporary.  However, the colder temperatures are expected to linger for a few days, prompting residents to adjust their daily routines and prepare for a continuation of the wintry weather.

The PMD continues to monitor the situation and may issue further updates on the weather pattern.
