Israel Commits Civilian ‘Massacres’ in Night Strikes: Officials

GAZA:  Palestinian Civil Defence official have accused Israel of carrying out civilian ‘massacres’ in night assaults, local media reported on Saturday. In a statement, a member of the Civil Defence in northern Gaza has accused Israeli troops of “massacring” civilians in attacks on at least three houses in the Beit Lahiya and Jabalia refugee camp areas.

Director of Civil Defence in the north, Ahmed al-Kahlot said that rescue workers are still making efforts to retrieve people from beneath the debris of the three houses that were destroyed in overnight attacks.

Meanwhile, fierce fighting is taking place in eastern Rafah with Hamas fighters ambushing Israeli troops and tanks with improvised explosive devices, rockets and fire as Israeli troops push deeper into the city refuging 1.4 million Palestinian people.

A State Department report stated that Israel’s use of US-provided arms in the Gaza Strip violated global humanitarian law, but the US will continue to supply weapons to Israel for now.

On the other hand, UNSC members have called for an independent and comprehensive probe into mass graves in the Gaza Strip where hundreds of bodies – including children, women, and the elderly – have been discovered around the Nasser and al-Shifa Hospitals.

Gaza Health Ministry said that more than 34,943 Palestinians have been killed including women and children in Gaza since October 7. It further said that over 78,572 people wounded in Israeli strikes on Gaza.
