JEDDAH: The OIC’s Weekly Observatory Report on Israel’s crimes against the Palestinians revealed that Israeli settlers’ vicious attacks on West Bank villages soared to 123 incidents in the last two weeks, doubling in intensity.

During the period between April 2 and 15, 2024, Israeli settlers’ attacks on West Bank villages, according to report, reached their peak after the killing of an Israeli settler near the village of Al-Mughayir in Ramallah, following an attack on Palestinian properties.

The report further detailed that the Israeli occupation forces during this period arrested 377 Palestinians and martyred eight others in the cities and villages of the West Bank. Moreover, the Israeli occupation forces demolished three homes in West Bank and Al-Quds and confiscated land with an area of (170) dunums in Bethlehem.

During this period, they attacked mosques, schools, and medical staff in a number of violations amounting to (4,059) violations that included killings, wounding, arrests, confiscation of property, demolition of homes, bulldozing of land, streets, and infrastructure, establishing checkpoints, blocking roads, shooting, and attacking various educational and health sectors and mosques.

The report further stated that the number of Palestinians martyred has soared to 34,262 in the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023.

During the period from the end of Ramadan to Eid Al-Fitr, 953 Palestinians have been killed, and over 1,163 were left wounded in the wake of relentless assaults.

The Israeli occupation forces withdrew from Khan Yunis on April 7, 2024, and left extensive destruction in the city, revealing many mass graves. In Al-Shifa Medical Complex, civil defense men and medical teams uncovered mass graves containing the bodies of those executed in their underwear in the hospital courtyard before burying them, while the search is still ongoing for victims among civilians and hospital in-patients who were shot dead by the occupation forces.
