Jordanian King, UAE President Discuss Gaza War

DUBAI: King of Jordan Abdullah held talks with president of the UAE, Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al-Nahyan on Thursday to discuss war in Gaza.

During meeting in Abu Dhabi, they reviewed regional and international issues of common concern, including the war in Gaza, and ways to enhance the bilateral ties.

Sheikh Mohammed and King Abdullah stressed the need for the safe and uninterrupted delivery of aid by land, sea and air to counter the humanitarian crisis in Gaza.

They also emphasized the urgent need for global efforts to help maintain regional stability and achieve a comprehensive, lasting and just peace between Israel and the Palestinians based on the two-state solution.

They also discussed various aspects of cooperation between the two countries, with a special focus on development, the economy and politics. They also reaffirmed their commitment to maintaining close cooperation on all matters of mutual concern.

Sheikh Mohammed also hosted an iftar in the honor of the visiting King Abdullah and his delegation.

High-level officials from both countries were also present on the occasion.
