ISLAMABAD: Ambassador of Jordan in Pakistan, Dr. Maen Khreasat, on Tuesday called on the Caretaker Federal Minister for Privatization Fawad Hasan Fawad here in Islamabad and discussed bilateral relations as well as matters of mutual interest
During the meeting, issues of mutual interest and cooperation came under discussion at length.
The envoy elaborated upon Jordan’s experience with privatization and the resulting benefits that have accrued to the Jordanian economy.
He explained that the supportive policies adopted by Jordan have opened up the country for global investment.
The federal minister, while citing similarities between the two nations, lauded Jordan’s privatization program as a replicable model for Pakistan.
He apprised the visiting envoy on progress in the privatization process in Pakistan.
Potential for Trade Between Pakistan and Jordan
The potential areas for trade and investment between the two nations were also discussed.
The minister also expressed his gratitude to King Abdullah II Bin Al Hussein for his longstanding and continuous support for Pakistan.
