WASHINGTON: Chairman of the World Forum for Peace & Justice and a prominent Kashmiri leader, Prof. Dr. Ghulam Nabi Fai, said that February 5th marks a day when Pakistan, the global Kashmiri community, and friends of Kashmir express their solidarity with the people of the region.

In a video message on the occasion of Kashmir Solidarity Day, Ghulam Nabi Fai said that Kashmir, once known as the paradise on Earth, has tragically transformed into a place described as hell by The New York Times.

European Parliamentarians, during their visit to Kashmir, labeled it as the world’s most beautiful prison. Despite Indian Prime Minister Modi’s claims of India being the largest democracy, the reality is that democracy is withering away in Kashmir.

He said that they thanked the government and the people of Pakistan for expressing solidarity with them on the Kashmir Solidarity Day.
