SRINAGAR: Posters have surfaced in Srinagar and other parts of occupied Jammu and Kashmir, urging Kashmiri people to observe a shutdown during Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Srinagar on Thursday.

The posters, put up by various Kashmiri groups including the All Parties Hurriyet Conference (APHC) and others, accuse Modi of being responsible for violence against Muslims and unleashing a killing spree in the region.

The posters denounce Modi’s Hindutva regime for revoking Articles 370 and 35-A, asserting that these actions were enforced through violence and coercion. They label Modi as a terrorist and allege that his policies have tarnished the Kashmiri identity, destroying political, religious, and social institutions in the region.

Moreover, the posters highlight concerns about demographic changes in Kashmir due to the granting of domicile status to non-Kashmiri individuals, including members of the Indian armed forces and business community.

Amidst these grievances, the posters call for the resolution of the Kashmir dispute in accordance with UN resolutions and reaffirm the Kashmiri people’s commitment to achieving the right to self-determination.

The message conveyed through these posters underscores the ongoing struggle of Kashmiris for their fundamental rights and their determination to continue the fight until justice is achieved.
