Kazakhstan’s Budget Revenues Soars to KZT 4.5 Trillion in 3-Month

ASTANA: Finance Minister Madi Takiyev has called on President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on Monday.

During the meeting, they discussed crucial aspects of public finances, including the performance of the national budget in the first quarter of 2024. Revenues for this period amounted to nearly 4.5 trillion tenge.

Minister Takiyev briefed the president on efforts to streamline inefficient budgetary spending and enhance customs infrastructure along the border of the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) with non-member states, aiming to increase traffic capacity by up to sixfold.

He also outlined plans for reforming the public procurement system and proposed amendments to tax administration.

In response, the Head of State emphasized the importance of bolstering fiscal stability, highlighting the need for measures to achieve budget equilibrium and enhance tax and customs management through digitalization.
