ISLAMABAD: The semi-finalists have been decided. Hosts India topped the group and will face New Zealand on Wednesday (15 November) with the match due to start at 08:30 GMT.
South Africa take on Australia on Thursday (16 November) and the game will start at 08:30 GMT.
India has been unbeaten in the tournament so far.
The first semi-final between India and New Zealand will be played at the Wankhede Stadium in Mumbai, the venue for the final back in 2011 when India last won the Cricket World Cup. New Zealand have yet to play in Mumbai in the ongoing tournament.
South Africa and Australia will play in the second semi-final at Eden Gardens in Kolkata. The Proteas’ only experience at the ground in the ongoing event was a 243-run defeat by India, while the semi-final will be Australia’s first match there since 2017.
Cricket World Cup final
The final of the tournament is on Sunday, 19 November and starts at 08:30 GMT at the 132,000-capacity Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad.
