PESHAWAR: The Relief, Rehabilitation, and Settlement Department of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) has declared an ‘Emergency’ in Khyber, Peshawar, and Nowshera districts to accelerate operational activities at transit and staging points for the repatriation of illegal foreigners.
In a notification, the Director General (DG) of PDMA and Deputy Commissioners (DCs) in the specified districts have been given the authority to engage machinery, mobilize all necessary resources, and deploy equipment to establish and operate these points for the speedy repatriation of illegal foreigners.
The notification stressed that the Finance Department will release the needed funds to PDMA, which will be allocated to the deputy commissioners for efficient and responsible expenditure.
PDMA and DCs are instructed to maintain inventory registers and accounts meticulously, document all expenditures, and issue articles by formal government procedures to ensure accountability. —APP
