PESHAWAR: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Minister for Public Health Engineering, Malik Pakhtun Yar Khan, announced on Thursday that the provincial government would provide significant relief to the public in the upcoming budget.

Speaking to the media after inaugurating a filtration plant in a new fruit and vegetable market, he stated that several important announcements would be made in the provincial assembly session regarding economic relief measures.

Khan emphasized that their protest against the Election Commission’s decision on reserved seats would persist until justice was served. He expressed concern over a potential constitutional crisis, warning of a more serious situation looming over the country.

Earlier, the Provincial Minister inaugurated a filtration plant, costing Rs 5 million. The event was attended by Malik Iqbal Jadoon Khan, Haji Malik Muhammadullah Wazir, Additional Deputy Commissioner Hamid Iqbal, TM Yousaf Khan, and Fruit Vegetable Market President Mian Rehman Shah.

Expressing frustration over blocked drain lines, poor sanitation, and sewerage systems in the market, the provincial minister directed relevant officials to address all issues by May 20.
