BRUSSELS: The delegation from the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief), has attended a coordination meeting on Gaza crisis titled “Obstacles to Access and Possible Solutions,” the Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported on Friday.

According to the SPA, the KSrelief’s delegation was led by Dr. Hana Omar, Director of the Department of Partnerships and International Relations.

The meeting was chaired by the European Commission and the French Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs as part of the High-Level European Humanitarian Forum’s third session. The summit was organized by the European Commission and Belgium during its presidency of the Council of the European Union, from March 18 to 19 in Brussels.

Dr. Hana Omar, addressing the meeting, expressed gratitude for holding such an event amid escalating hostilities and sheer violations of international humanitarian law.

She praised the efforts of humanitarian workers in Gaza and offered condolences to those who lost their lives in recent days. Dr. Hana underscored the Kingdom’s efforts to lessen the repercussions of the ongoing violations in Gaza.

Since last November, the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al-Saud have directed a campaign through the “Sahim” relief platform for the Palestinians in Gaza. The initiative has received donations exceeding $180 million from the wise leadership and society to support the affected population of Gaza.

The forum discussed the escalating global humanitarian requirements in nations impacted by crises across the world. It also stressed the importance of bolstering cooperation and partnerships among affected nations, donors, global stakeholders, the European Union, and its member states to identify sustainable and effective solutions to humanitarian challenges, focusing on addressing the dire humanitarian situation in Gaza.
