BISHKEK: Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan Akylbek Japarov met with Uzbekistan’s President Shavkat Mirziyoyev on the sideline of the Tashkent Investment Forum.
During the meeting, they discussed various areas of interest including bolstering trade and economic ties, amplifying bilateral trade volumes, and collaborating on significant investment and infrastructure endeavors.
They explored avenues for cooperation in energy, transportation, and logistics, as well as cultural and humanitarian endeavors.
Among the focal points were the proposed construction of the China-Kyrgyzstan-Uzbekistan railway, the Kambar-Ata-1 hydropower plant, and the development of two hydropower facilities along the Chatkal River.
