Leaked Documents Show Amazon Struggling with Employee Retention

In a recent breach, Amazon’s last year’s employee data were leaked, which revealed that only one-third of Amazon’s new workers lasted with the firm for more than 90 days before resigning, getting fired, or being laid off, according to documents obtained by Engadget.

The revelation is the latest indicator that Amazon is facing significant retention challenges. The company estimates attrition costs almost $8 billion annually across its worldwide consumer field operations team.

In contrast to being fired or laid off, the report asserts that employees are twice as likely to quit of their own will. It also widely criticized Amazon for not using or tracking data effectively in its attempts to teach and develop staff, which is an underlying flaw for a business known for compulsively gathering customer information.
