CALIFORNIA: The professional networking platform LinkedIn experienced a significant service disruption in the early hours of Thursday, leading to frustration among users worldwide.

Reports indicate that over 48,000 users have registered complaints about the shutdown.

The disruption caused challenges for users trying to access LinkedIn’s services. In response, LinkedIn’s management has acknowledged the service delivery issues and assured users that efforts are underway to resolve them.

Earlier, a similar global disruption affected users worldwide, impacting their ability to access Facebook and Instagram. Many people reported unexpected logouts from their accounts, attributing the issues to technical glitches rather than intentional restrictions.

During this outage, Meta’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Mark Zuckerberg, faced a substantial financial setback, losing nearly $3 billion within an hour. Reports suggest that Zuckerberg’s net worth plummeted by over $2 billion due to the global shutdown, reducing his total net worth to $176 billion in just one day.
