ISLAMABAD: Ali Rilwan, Chargé De Affaires of the High Commission of Maldives in Islamabad, on Monday vowed to further strengthen bilateral relations between Pakistan and Maldives.
The Maldivian envoy on Monday paid a visit to the WE News Office in Islamabad, where he toured various sections of the office. During his visit, he commended the workings of WE News and expressed his keen interest in understanding the dynamics of local news reporting.
Ali Rilwan was given a detailed briefing on the operations and functioning of WE News, which he found to be insightful and informative. He particularly appreciated the dedication and professionalism exhibited by the team in delivering news to the public.
Bilateral Relations Between Maldives and Pakistan
During discussions, Ali Rilwan underscored the warmth in the bilateral relations between Maldives and Pakistan, emphasizing the need to further enhance these relations in the near future. He expressed optimism about the potential for deeper cooperation and collaboration between the two countries across various sectors.
In addition to diplomatic matters, Ali Rilwan also shared insights into the beauty and tourism potential of the Maldives. He highlighted the rich cultural history and background of the country, along with its vast expanse of over 1200 islands. Rilwan elaborated on the significance of travel and tourism for the Maldives, emphasizing its role as a key driver of the economy and a source of livelihood for many locals.
