Martyr’s Monument Opened for Public in Islamabad’s F-9 Park

ISLAMABAD: A martyr’s monument has been opened for the public in Islamabad’s largest F-9 Park to honour the heroes who sacrificed their lives protecting the motherland.

Pictures of the sons of the soil and their endeavours in defending Pakistan have been shown on the monument, along with an introduction about them.

Murals of the recipients of Nishan-e-Haider are also part of the monument.

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) announced to construct the Martyrs Monument along with a garden in the F-9 Park on September 6, Defense Day, to honor the heroic efforts of Pakistani soldiers.

F-9 Park also known as Fatimah Jinnah Park is the largest Park in Islamabad, with long jogging tracks, children’s play areas and game areas for the general public.

The park inaugurated in 1992 covers an area of 750 acres and was designed by Michael Japero.
