LAHORE: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) senior vice president, Maryam Nawaz, is scheduled to address a rally in Okara on Monday (tomorrow) to launch her election campaign.

In a post shared on X, PML-N Spokesperson Marriyum Aurangzeb said that Maryam Nawaz would share the important points of the manifesto with the crowd at Iqbal Stadium, Okara.

Describing the public gathering as a part of the party’s election campaign, she said the people would be the winner on February 8 – the day when Pakistan will go for general elections.

The victory, she added, the days of progress and development would return after PML-N wins the much-awaited polls.

PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif spoke to his supporters at Farooqabad, Sheikhupura, on December 30 – in a National Assembly (NA) constituency from where the party has nominated Irfan Dogar as its candidate. However, he has not addressed any public gatherings since then.

Nawaz Sharif’s Election Rally

Earlier, Capt Safdar had said that Nawaz Sharif would be in Mansehra on January 22 for a rally – the district which has two NA seats with NA-15 chosen by the PML-N supremo for reaching the new legislature.

Although the PML-N is widely believed to win the most number of NA seats, its performance in other provinces, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Sindh, and Balochistan, would determine its parliamentary size as well as the future of hung parliament speculations.
