TURIN, Italy: The former heavyweight boxing champion Mike Tyson is all set to play himself in a superhero feature film ‘Bunny Man’.
The legendary boxer made the announcement at a press conference in the northern city of Turin along with Italian producer Andrea Iervolino and writer Enrico Remmert. The film will be entirely shot in Turin.
According to a supplied synopsis, the film revolves around a multimillionaire superhero who fights against evil forces in anonymity wearing a rabbit mask.
He is fighting against those forces to avenge his sister who committed suicide after suffering a violent act.
Lervolino in a statement expressed his excitement with this innovative project, saying that almost all of the film will be shot on a virtual set. He said that they are redefining the boundaries of cinematographic creativity by offering the audience a unique experience with Bunny-Man.
“We are also proud to have a legend like Mike Tyson in our cast, who will certainly help make Bunny-Man even more special,” the producer said. No details are being given on Tyson’s role.
Tyson previously had appeared as himself in films like The Hangover, The Hangover Part 2. Further details about the film’s director and the remaining cast have been kept secret so far.
