Motorbikes, three-wheelers sale decreases 11.92% in 8 months

ISLAMABAD: The sale of motorbikes and three-wheelers in the country dropped by 11.92% during the first eight months of the current fiscal year (2023-24) compared to the same period last year.

According to the Pakistan Automobile Manufacturing Association (PAMA), 740,204 units were sold from July to February 2023-24, down from 840,396 units in the corresponding months of 2022-23.

Honda motorcycle sales fell by 7.64% from 697,864 units to 644,544 units, while Suzuki motorcycle sales plummeted by 58.70% from 24,981 units to 10,316 units during the review months. Yamaha and Road Prince motorcycle sales also declined significantly.

United Auto motocycle sales saw a 23.74% decrease from 71,213 units to 54,305 units. However, United Auto three-wheeler sales increased by 64.09% from 1,100 units t0 1,805 units, and Sazgar theree wheeler sales rose by 18.35%

Qingqi three-wheeler sales dropped by 28.72%, from 5,229 units to 3,727 units, and Road Prince three-wheeler sales decreased by 38.08%, from 1,326 units to 821 units, according to the data.
