LAHORE: PML-N leader Khawaja Asif remarked that PTI voters had indeed turned out to support their party’s candidates.
Speaking with a TV channel, he acknowledged the significant turnout in favor of PTI but remained optimistic about his own electoral prospects in Sialkot. Expressing confidence in Nawaz Sharif’s potential return as Prime Minister for the fourth term, he anticipated the announcement of election results before dawn.
Asif’s remarks coincide with his contest against PTI-backed Rehana Dar in the constituency, while fellow PML-N leader Ahsan Iqbal also expressed optimism about the forthcoming announcement of results by the ECP.
