NAB-KP Springs into Action Against Former Politicians, Bureaucrats

PESHAWAR: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa has initiated inquiries and investigations into several former bureaucrats and politicians, including individuals who were previously associated with the Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

According to NAB-KP, a high-level investigation has been launched against two former PPP ministers, Sher Azam Wazir and Mehmood Zaib, who are accused of misusing their powers, including involvement in irregularities related to provincial department recruitment.

In addition, the former provincial minister of PTI, Malik Qasim, and the former Peshawar Governor, Arbab Asim, are facing allegations of corruption and the misuse of their authority.

Furthermore, NAB-KP has decided to initiate probes into the activities of former bureaucrat Hifz-ur-Rehman and JUI-F leader Maulana Fazlur Rahman’s brother, as well as the former Afghan Commissioner of KP, Zia-ur-Rehman, all of whom are facing accusations of corruption and the misuse of their positions. —APP
