National Advisory Committee Meets to Formulate National Education Policy

ISLAMABAD: The National Advisory Committee’s first meeting to formulate the National Education Policy 2024 for Pakistan was held on Wednesday.

The meeting was chaired by the Special Secretary Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani and attended by representatives from provinces, regions and heads of concerned departments under MoFEPT.

It focused on the need for a new education policy to address challenges such as out-of-school children, quality education, and skill development.

Representatives from the provinces, education departments, and organizations exchanged views on their priorities and suggestions for the new policy.

Priorities, Suggestions for New Education Policy

Key areas of focus included promoting girls’ education, improving access to education, developing soft skills and language proficiency, and integrating digital skills into the curriculum.

The committee also underlined the need for collaboration with different ministries and organizations to ensure effective implementation of the policy.
