ISLAMABAD: Abdul Qadir Patel, Federal Minister for National Health Services, Regulations, and Coordination, said on Sunday that effective steps were being adopted to further improve the national immunization program.
Addressing the Federal Directorate of Immunization’s annual meeting, he said that a collaborative strategy was being framed to ensure 100% results, by reaching all citizens during every immunization campaign in the country.
He said that it was the state’s responsibility to provide basic health facilities to its people. Government was working on a comprehensive plan to eradicate various diseases from the country.
He said that all available resources would be utilized for this purpose.
Minister urges provinces for 100% immunization of children
The minister urged the provinces to ensure 100% coverage of immunization to protect children.
He said that vaccination is the most effective method of protecting children from various diseases.
Patel said that repeated immunization drives had protected millions of children, allowing many countries in the world to become almost free from various diseases.
